AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS SPRING TERM 2010

These are the clubs that will be continuing this term. If your child was already in this club they can continue unless you tell us otherwise. These clubs will start next week, week beginning Monday 11th January 2010.



Also if your child would like to join one of these clubs please get in touch with Mrs. Fairweather in the office to see if there are places available.

Multisports for Years 2 & 3

11th September 2009

Dear Parents

Every Thursday from 3.15pm to 4.15pm

We have arranged for Mike, who carries out many of our coaching sessions during lesson time, to run an after school multi sports club for the children in Years two and three. This club is open to boys and girls of all abilities. The children will learn to play a range of sports, eg hockey, basketball, football. The sports will vary and the children will be involved in choosing them.

Sessions will be outdoors whenever possible therefore players must bring appropriate footwear as well as weather appropriate clothing. Should the weather intervene we will move to the school hall. Any cancelled sessions will be made up at a later date.

The cost for each session is £3.00 or £18.00 for 6 weeks. It will run at least till the end of term.
All payments should be given to the coach on the day.

If your child is interested please return the slip below to the school office by Tuesday 15th September 2009. There are 24 places so places will be offered on a first come first served basis.
The first session begins on Thursday 17th September 2009.

Collection of children from after school clubs

Tuesday 10th march 2009

Dear Parents,

Due to the increase in clubs after schools, the differing finish times and the fact that some are using our playground now, you will no longer be able to drive into the school car park to collect your child.

To enable you to collect your child we will now be opening the Shortcrofts gate so that you can park in Shortcrofts Road and walk through to collect your child as before.

The Spurling Road entrance will still be open for pedestrian use only.

Running Club for Years 3 & 4

5th February 2009

Dear Parent/ Guardian,

Miss Camp and Miss Baker are starting up a Running Club on Thursdays after school. There are 10 places to start with and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

If your child is interested in joining this club, they will need to bring appropriate clothing ( tracksuits, trainers) and have your permission to be off the school site ( Parsloes Park) for some of these sessions.

The first session to be Thursday 26th February from 3.20 to 4.00pm.

Please return the slip below by Wednesday 10th February, so we can let you know if your child has a place before half term.

We have arranged for a gymnastics club before school which will be taken by Mike. This club is open to pupils in years 5 & 6.

Sessions will be in the main school hall. Children will need to bring wear their own school PE kit for this club.

The cost for each session is £2.50. It will run at least till the end of term.

All payments should be given to the coach on the day.
