Dear Parent / Carer, We will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 5th March 2009. There will be many activities that the children will be able to enjoy on this day while they are learning about a book that their teacher will introduce to them.
Your child will be required to dress as a character from a book.
You may want to talk to your child about their favourite book and let them dress up as the main character. You can always let them bring the book to share with the rest of the class.
Some of the activities will include;
· storytelling workshops for all pupils with professional storyteller Roy Cain
· class story swaps
· creating new books
· fancy dress
