Industrial Action

Monday 17th March 2014

Dear Parents,

Industrial Action by the NUT teaching union

Wednesday 26th March 2014

As you will have heard in the news, the NUT teaching union has called on their members to
take strike action, over proposed changes to public sector workers pensions and terms and
           conditions of employment.

This is happening on Wednesday 26th March 2014

The majority of teaching staff at Parsloes are in this union and will be taking part in
this action.

Therefore I have no choice but to close their classes on that day.

Therefore only the following classes will be OPEN to pupils:

            In Reception   Class RW only

In Year 1         Class 1V and 1MR only

In Year 2         Class 2AF only

In Year 3         Class 3O and 3H

In Year 6         Class 6G only

All other classes will be closed to pupils on this day so PLEASE DO NOT send them
to school that day.

I am very sorry for the inconvenience this will cause many of you and have endeavoured
to provide you with enough notice as I possibly can.

All classes will re-open on Thursday 27th March 2014.

Yours sincerely

Parking

3rd March 2014

Dear parents,

PARKING

I am sorry that I have to bring this up again but I am frequently getting complaints about how some parents’ park and drive down Shortcrofts road. While I know this does not apply to the vast majority of parents, there are still a few parents who continue to park inconsiderately on this road.

We have had another complaint from residents about parents parking over their driveways. Please note that you CANNOT park on a dropped kerb, or stop on the zig zag lines.

The Local Authority are taking complaints about road safety around schools seriously and receiving more complaints could mean that parking on Shortcrofts Road could be even more restricted for parents.  They are also sending their Smart Car round, which could mean if you are parked illegally you could receive a parking ticket.

So in the interests of all please park considerately.

Could I also remind you that if you are dropping your child off, you must do this safely, which includes not blocking the road for other road users. If you need to ensure your child has gone in safely you should park correctly and walk your child in.

Thank you to the vast majority of you who do park considerately, as this means children can come to school safely.

Yours sincerely
